Psalms 27:14 Calligraphy

Have you ever had one of those moments while you’re reading the Bible and you come across a verse that’s just so amazing that it makes you feel like you’re the first person to discover it? You tell your spouse or your friends, “Look at this verse I found.” as if everyone else who has read the Bible has somehow missed it for all these years. I love those moments! This calligraphy and painting combination was born from one of those moments.

These words are most popularly quoted from Joshua 1:9 but they appear many other times throughout scripture including multiple times in Psalms, Deuteronomy, Joshua, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings and 1&2 Chronicles (HCSB). I’m not sure why Joshua gets so much credit for this phrase, “Be strong and courageous” but I loved how it felt when I read it in Psalms 27 like it was brand new.
